Saw Loh Mee is back!

Saw loh mee is not a person's name or type of mee selling in kopitiam. We first heard about this 10 years ago in 1998. Putting legal aside, we spent sometime to research and debate whether we should accept Saw Loh Mee to happen in our society. Certainly, we could not accept if "rape" is involved.

Saw loh me made Malaysia as well-known as Twin Tower in the world and these were 2 mega projects happened during our ex-PM time. We take a hard time to forget saw loh mee and now life back to normal.

Unfortunately, heard that soh loh mee returns! No matter true or not, i think we should put a stop and no more nightmare for Malaysian again. The police should investigate fast, fair and charge whoever is illegal.

We should spend more time to catch the murderer instead and those who stole the little wealth of the PEOPLE and COUNTRY.

The sad part is now even "physical assassination" come into picture of Malaysia politics, this is definitely not our politics culture and we should refuse it. The leader (also the people of malaysia) seeks sanctuary at other embassy instead of his own government. This is the second sad part.

2 of the 3 Presents thrown into Penang Sea

When Our Seberang Perai Utara MP and also the PM promised to all penangkia early 2006 during CNY that the government will give 3 BIG GIFTS to penangkia (2nd bridge, monorail & PORR) no matter what happen in Penang (Politics), he was elected and become the PM.

When our 2nd Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yaakob said in July 2007 that 50% of Penangites will use public transport by 2011 because of this 3 gifts, he was elected as Tasek Gelugor MP.

And now they are still the PM and 2nd Finance Minister.

However, they made all penangkia disappointed again this time by putting off the 2 major infrastructure projects, Peanng Monorail (1.5bil) and PORR (2 bil), in the mid-term review of 9th Malaysia Plan according to news tonight.

The government instead of slashing the budgets of the Plans, is seeking for additional 30 bil additional funds through Parlimen tomorrow. (so they should have enough funds for the good projects)

The 2 projects are in generally welcomed by penangites especially after the oil price hikes. These may assist and encourage the people to take public transport. In addition, establishment of efficient transport system is the most important action to be done now and we are one of the contributors for reducing the petrol subsidy.

If the government meant to punish the penang people for voting to the opposition, we think they will regret again in the next, next, next......elections.

Whatever is it, some people may now start thinking of someone from Seberani Perai Tengah, Penang.

Political Moral?

When we are still "one five one ten" of whether agreed with Anwar to take over the government by inviting the BN MPs to jump over. MCA criticised that it is immoral to do that and Gerakan said that this does not fulfill democratic spirit.

Last week Anwar replied in the City Stadium that who is more immoral if the MPs still support the cabinet if the cabinet or the government implement somethings not correct and not benefit to the people without express their stands.

This will happen again in tomorrow's Parlimen Assembly when Najib had instructed all MPs not to defeat the Sharir motion on price increases. Some MPs may feel that this motion is incorrect and wish to defeat. Is it immoral if they support just to retain their seats. The warning statement by Najib too does not fulfill democratic spirit. What should MCA and Gerakan could do? Of course, as usual, raise their hands and said;"Ya" and "Betul".

Are we also means that the BN MPs had to support all policies that implemented by the Cabinet for next five years. If that so, we may just elect monkeys, cow, elephant, goat, etc which only take fruits and grass in the next election. No high salaries, no entertainment allowance, etc which could be saved to subsidise the petrol.

When SAPPs raise the issues of no-confidence motion to our PM. PKR fully support, PAS said may be support, DAP said should see what happen next first. They may look not united but in the other hands, at least everyone had their own stands and considerations. They shall debate before any agreement. (Hope PR is not like BN)

It is still look better than the MCA who never think first and be the first one to jump out and shouted to our PM, "We fully support you". In the mean time, we still has no answer when our Damansara school suppose to reopen, are the government going to build more Chinese school? Are the critical criminals in Malaysia going to solve? etc......

Unfortunately, our BN still does not like some of the other countries that allow their MPs has a difference views and stands of government policies where they could debate freely and the PM has to convince all MPs to support the motions.

Unless you interpret the recent decision of no action against SAPP as BN is more "open minded" now.

Another Political Tsunami?

Just came back chit-chatting with my university mate who married to a French and staying there for more than 3 years. Will share with you later her experience staying in French and Malaysia.

Back to Malaysia, SAPP from Sabah thrown a political bombshell today that will back a no-confidence motion against PM on next monday. Many questions come to us and i guess not many people know all the answers at this moment.

1) Could the motion be raised successfully on Monday? (This is new lesson for malaysian)

2) Are SAPP alone, or will be followed by many others?

3) Will it trigger a ripple effects to other parties?

4) What are the people response?

5) What are the next move for SAPP?

6) What are the UMNO reactions?

7) Will Anwar successful to get enough supports?

8) Is it morale for Anwar to take over government this way?

9) Could majority of the people accept and calm if this happen?

10) Are we Ready?

Penangkia Wishes

Penangkia also want to make some wishes during this big day.

Firstly, we want to apologise to some of you as you may not well prepare to form the government so fast. But we can not wait until next election. So 'pai seh' you all please learn faster and implement something good for us. As long as you have the good heart and right motive, then every thing shall go smooth, i will ask 'Tee Kong' to 'poh pee' you all.

Secondly, you all must understand that do not enjoy the honeymoon period for too long. As you know about our Big Boss case, he is in trouble now due to he took too long honeymoon holidays last four years. Thus, we wish you all will not follow him.

Thirdly, i am sure that you all have many new friends recently. Please remember what our parents taught us when we are small that we have to be careful when making new friends especially when you are in power. These bad friends will teach you all 'bad bad' things like corruptionlah, abuse powerlah, cronismlah, nepotismlah, etc, etc, etc.

Fourthly, you must understand that most of the penangkia like us are actually kopitiam politician only. They may be chairman or president or committee member of many local associations. They may have many ideas and claimed that they have many supporters to ask you listen to them. However, they may not correct all the time as sometimes, they may not able to access and understand all facts macroscopically. You must have own principle as long as you are doing good. Of course, you must not ignore all other people opinions all the times. Their experiences also may help you. It looks complex. isn't it? yup, this is Penang.

Lastly, you must also understand that Penang is a commercial city and most of the people are also the businessman. Businessman may be profit orientated but they are important in contribution to the state economic grows and also provide a lot of job opportunities. Thus, you all should support them as long as they follow rules and regulations.

The wishes may be a bit long and the candles are going to burn up.

Happy 100th day in Power to PR new government. Below is the satisfaction level survey of penangkia on their new government: Very shiok - 12.36% OK lah - 58.44% Sosolah - 13.6% Very no good - 3% Wa tak tahu - 12.6% So, the result is - PASSED at 70.8%. Some of the highlights as below: 1) 70.8% od Penangkia satisfied with new government 2) 52.68% of penangkia feel pessimistic of Penang economic future 3) 82.96% of Penang technologist feel that Penang economic will not be better under the new government 4) 86.34% of Indian satisfy with new governement 5) 90.26% of penangkia does not satisfy with BN performance as opposition 6) 92% feel that the relationship between Penang and ?Federal government is bad 7) 93.8% penangkia agreed with the open tender system 8) 82.56% agreed with Lim Guan Eng's Clean & Transparency impression 9) 64.56% did not agree with waiver of MPPP 'saman' 10) 78.86% of female support the new government, 10% more than male

Queue Again?

I think we should have a better way of handling this.

When we are so proud of our modernisation, industrialisation, multimedia super corridors, highest tower, biggest flags, etc, etc, etc. I think we should have a better way of handling this.

This made us look like queueing to buy bread in Moscow during the Communist time. The policy made so much trouble to the people and also the post office.

1) The Post Office suppose to handle mailing now handle cash rebate.

2) It is risky for the post office to keep so much cash all the time

3) More than 10,000,000 people are required to go post office to claim their rebate. It is really wasting of production time.

4) People need to queue up and many of them could not get the queue nos, or form finish, or cash finish, or..........

I still think that we should have a better way of handing this.
