Najib First Cabinet

Najib announced his cabinet. As expected. no surprise and no excitement. In fact, he has not much choice but to choose most of the ministers from existing components' party leaders. He could not reduce much the size of the cabinets as there are so many people need to pacify.
A few interesting observations from the new cabinet:
1) Hishamuddin take charge of Home Ministry, the most controversial recently. Hope he could perform well and do not further damage his image.
2) Najib gave MCA additional deputy minister instead of deputy prime minister. MCA should be satisfied for not losing any minister post. This also means the government now emphasis "Chinese votes" now?
3) The new UMNO Youth chief, KJ was not appointed any post, but his deputy chief, Razali was assigned as deputy minister of Youth and Sports. Even his chief election opponent or usually known as ex-PM 's son, Muhkriz was appointed deputy minister.
4) It is hard not to believe if no compromising was made with ex-ex-PM. Probably, he avoid the old man "non-stop merepek" towards him like what he did on ex-PM.
5) Finally, our Penangkia has also one minister, even though it is just a small minister in the PM office, taking charge of unity & key performance index for ministers. This is like the monitor in the cabinet, but does he dare to give poor index for ministers?
However, the penangkia should be happy to have the minister to work hand-in-hand with our new CM to ask for the 3-gifts as promised by the ex-PM.
Gerakan members are also motivated, hoping that the regain back the minister post in the cabinet will boost them to regain the power of Penang government in next GE. Frankly, KTK has no choice but to accept the post as he needs a political platform to continue his political ambitions.
Everyone including Dr KTK might already forgot he promised Batu Kawan he would not accept Senatorship or Ministership if defeated in last GE. photo source:The Nut Graph
