Everything also History & Heritage?

KBP was the unfortunate case. The land accordingly owned by the villagers was controversially sold by the previous government. The villagers took up the case to the court but they lost the case and was instructed to vacate the land for a high rise development. The villagers were then refused to vacate and obtained "the election promises" given by the current government to remain them as what they were since 150 years ago.
To keep the promise, the state government, specifically the CM finally exercised his authority to order the Penang Municipal Council to revoke the development approval granted to the developer and hope that the developer could have a win-win solutions if they want to develop the area.
Could the win-win solutions achieved? It may end up all-lose situation.
The Penang state government is taking a bold, high-states gamble and risk of being sued. It also set an example of using the authority over & above the rule-of-law, read Romerz. This may also discourage the development industries in the state. If the compensation scheme is reasonable, the villagers may have lost an opportunity to upgrade and improve their livelihood. And finally, if the government lost the case, the people of Penang at large would need to pay the unnecessary compensation.
Take KBP case aside, now the Penangite may need to make a choice about development.
We may like to keep our history and our heritage, but we may also need to balance with the reasonable developments that keep the society to move on.
We could not in one hand hope to benefit from the development and the other hand reject the development that may affect you.
We could not in one hand hope to have more business volume or more income but still want to live what we we were since 150 years ago.
We could not in one hand hope to make as much as what Singaporean make but still want to live slowly and comfortably as what we are now.
Like what many people agreed with me the way Penangites always think, "you may have whatever developments you want, as long as the developments do not affect me."
(I met LGE once in the plane and he told me this, a young chap told him that he may do whatever he want to increase the incomes of the People, but the young chap want to remain the char koay teow price from now until 10 years later. )
So now, Penangites, please make a choice and tell our so-called People's government.

I Confirmed, this is not about Racism

Yes, I confirmed. This is not about Racism.
I attended Beng Hock Memorial Forum in Penang tonight. I arrived late for 30 minutes and unable to enter into the main complex hall. The hall was already filled with a lot of people. The people still kept on came in and we could only gather at the lobby area listening to the forum from the projector screen.
Yes, I confirmed again. This is not about Racism.
The public consists of all races and all levels of people.
The Malays, the Chinese, the Indian.
The Father, the husband, the men, the boys.
The Mother, the wife, the ladies, the girls.
The white collar, the blue collar, the executives, the workers.
And the speakers from Pakatan Rakyat also consists of the Chinese, the Malays, the Indian.
So we confirmed, this is absolutely not a Racism issue.
All of us came for the simple purpose, "Justice for Beng Hock, Answers for Rakyat".
I think the silly papers that tried to turn this issue into racism is really silly this time.
You may turn the pig into religious issue, you may turn the scholarships into race issue but not this case. No one will believe this.
Yet, the whole nation is still awaiting our 1Malaysia PM to say something since he touched down 11.30am this morning, 12 hours had passed................

Beng Hock, May You Rest in Peace

Beng Hock, May you Rest in Peace.
May your Parents continue to live Peacefully
May your Fiancee continue to be Strong & Healthy
May your Baby to grow Happily & Healthy
Beng Hock, do not worry,
May you Rest in Peace,
You have completed your role and
the whole Malaysian will continue the task that you have not completed
You will be always be remembered

BN not Wins, Pakatan not Lost

Before this, we should give a big applause for the voters of Manek Urai for their high 87% turnout of 12,293 voters.
PAS won by tiny margin of 65 votes. BN again did not win any of 6 by-elections in the peninsular. However, PAS lost 1,287 votes just in 16 months from last election.
PR may blame BN for all their dirty tactics, either scare tactics or development threats. But Najib is not Pak Lah, he know the games, and he know the rules of games well.
Probably the "unity talk" is the main factor, it unexpectedly caused the infighting within PAS and cause "confident crisis" within the PR coalitions. In this case, we should respect Tok Guru to hold the coalition even he knew that this would affect the supports if did not handle carefully.
BN should thank Najib and KJ for their successful tactics in splitting up PAS and PR using race and religion issue with "unity talk".
However, I think this result served a good wake-up call to Pakatan Rakyat.
Since 308, Pakatan thought that they will win all by-elections until next General Election. They will then move into Putrajaya and all other states governments.
They start celebrating without forgetting infighting. They fight from photo scandal in Selangor, losing power in Perak, councillor issue in Penang, pig abattoir in Kedah, PAS flirtation with UMNO and now, gangster in Selangor.
So, it is time to wake up, Pakatan.
Pakatan must know that Najib is not anyone else, BN will not wait there to be defeated and Pakatan is still under probation period.

Najib's 1st 100 days as PM

Our 1Malaysia PM reached his first 100 days, so what is your KPI for him?
All political experts had given their comments in all sorts of media.
The biggest commentator, ex-ex-PM said the negatives are more than positives. The main positives are he doesn't sleep and meeting a lot of people.
The veteran UMNO, unsuccessful UMNO presidency bidder, Tunku Razaleigh said the country needs a "new Deal" and not " 1 Malaysia".
Pakatan criticise Najib took 100 days copying their ideas.
MCA and Gerakan as expectedly and as usual, worship highly for the sweets and promises announced by PM in his 100th day speech. One of MCA division chairman even said this proof that the right choice for MCA to give 100% support Najib as a PM.
Analysts and business men are cautiously optimistic of what he had promised to reform while the democracy NGO criticised nothing had been done for the democracy process and free media.
No doubt, Najib had to do somethings quick, and these must be quick enough before it is too late. The defeat in 308 somehow gave Najib a more free hand to do reformation (if he want) as compared with Pak Lah.
The 1st 100 days is just an advertisement period. Najib had to use this honeymoon period to rebuild his own image and also his party image. He probably cautiously need to give some sweets and populist promises to the People.
However, what Najib carry with him is a huge and heavy system that had been seriously corroded. He may give all the promises but he also need to ensure that all are implemented effectively.
Najib had reached the peak of the power ladder, now is the time for him to decide what he want to do for the country.
And the real KPI only start from his 101th day...........

You Promised, You Deliver

Our KPI Minister is very loud today, "You Promise, You Deliver". Of course, not to his big brother UMNO, but to the current Penang CM, Lim Guan Eng.
Thinking of that, the history of Penang CM would not change if KTK was loud and delivered what he promised when he was still the CM of Penang.
KTK said Lim must find his own solution to the problem because he and his party, the DAP, had promised the residents there that if the opposition succeeded in taking over the administration of Penang from the Barisan Nasional (BN), the residents would not have to move out.
Of course LGE has to find his ways to solve the current problems.
But could the ex-government washed their hands just like that for whatever they have done wrong in the past? If so, some opportunists will be forgiven if he just need to leave the post after committing of big blunder or big corruption.
If so, the Taiwan ex-President, Chen Shui Bian will be now enjoying with his multi-millions of corruption money with his family and friends, not forgetting the ex-Korea Presidents, the ex-Philipines President, etc.
Still feel very funny about "You Promised, You Deliver" coming out from the mouth of our ex-CM. Don't you? Considered this as the best joke of the day.

Another Mansion for Sale?

Mansion for sales? Some said worth RM24million, 50,000 ft2 land area and 50,000 ft2 build up. But the owner, Dr Khir said only about RM3.5million. He will pay 50% commission if some one interested to pay RM24million.
How big is 50,000 ft2? If you are staying in 1,000 ft2 apartment, then you have another 25 units on your left and another 24 units on your right.
It is owned by Dr Khir, previously was MB for Selangor, previous-previously was a dental.
Nothing special, in Malaysia, anything also "Boleh". This is not the first one and also will not be the last one. You could find more if interested.

Why the Pig exists in the World?

One of the blogger I follow, Romerz felt very tired & upset blogging of better Malaysia these two days in view of recent disappointed actions within the Pakatan Rakyat from their leaders, lawmakers and members.
To show my support and encouragement to him and wish he could move on the life as he want, I will not talk much about politic today, instead talk a bit on the Pig.
Sometime I feel that the "God" is very naughty. He pretty know that pork is one of the common food for most on the Chinese but is prohibited for Muslim (or in this case, the Malays). Instead of putting them away each other, He put them together in the same common community.
This has created a lot of complication between this 2 races. Their nerve will immediately become tense whenever issue about pig occurred.
But the smartest "God" would not purposely create chaos or complication among these different races. He must have his reason.
The God in fact want to teach us about understanding, tolerances & respects. People live in this earth together despite of whatever races must have mutual understanding, tolerances and mutual respects.
In Kedah abattoir's closure, if the place is no longer suitable to do its job hygienically anymore and create uncomfortable feelings to other races, it should be agreed to be relocated to a more suitable place that equipped with more proper and hygienic system.
On the other hand, the other party too should understand and respect the culture of the other race and always be fair and reasonable in all policies making.
This is nothing to do with religions and races, not even the problem of pig, but it is just about mutual respect & understanding.
