On 15 June 2008, Penang mark another memorable day by having the Ceramah in the City Stadium. More than 10,000 people of Penang instead of football players filled the whole 'padang'. No buses fetching the supporters, no allowance for the supporters, no water and food were served. Mostly are the people voluntary came themselves to witness the 100 days birthday gathering of the new government.
The significance of this gathering appeared to us is that the gathering attended by all races, the Malays, Chinese, Indian, etc. We came and sit together to talk about the national issues such as oil price hikes, etc. No racial issues, "Jaga Melayu", "Jaga Cina", "Jaga India", but only "Jaga Orang Miskin".
This unity and understanding of each others may be new and fresh, but at least the people start to plant the seed of the REAL UNITY among Malaysian. We strongly believe this should be promoted, encouraged and cultivated among Malaysian.
We hope that all parties should commit their political morality and be responsible to cultivate this unity that they have talked for years and protect from any afford to ruin this.
