Singing to Raise Fund

Chinese language education in Malaysia is a long sorrow history of "bloods & tears".
In conjunction of "Father's Day", we should take this opportunity to thank all our elderly generations of their consistent contributions, scarification and supports for the past 50 years in Chinese language learning.
Unfortunately, this gratitude does not include the BN government. The government never intend to recognise or support these school in terms of financial or resources. The only 'contribution' of BN government is they did not force to close the Chinese/Tamil school throughout their governance.
For the past 50 years, the Chinese community had no choice but to sell-support all needs of these schools. They organised charity dinners, fund-raising activities, donations, etc to continue the learning of Chinese language.
Sometimes, they invite star singers or VIPs like ADUNs, MPs, Chairman of so and so, etc to "contribute" their voice during the dinner to raise the charity fund.
In fact, we feel very sad and confuse of why we have to do all these silly fund raising things. If the government could recognise this learning right and agreed that all these learning would eventually contribute to the country buildings, they should have support all needs systematically like what they give to other national schools.
Some of you may feel happy when PM's wife intend to contribute her "first voice" in the charity dinner to raise fund for the primary school in KL.
But many of us feel more sad and insulted.
